The Long and Lonely Road
I have to say that this is all a little intimidating. I've been writing scripts and short stories for years but never for profit, never to be read by anyone other than a few close friends. To be honest the whole thing feels a little romantic, like the young knight setting out on a dangerous quest that will inevitably lead to glory and fame. Thats not how the world works tho is it? Their is no guarantee that no matter how hard I work or how much I want it the odds have it I will be turned down. I'm keeping this blog as kind of a journal that will hold me accountable. Once or twice a week I will post updates as to my progress to help me keep perspective of time management. I have until January of 2011 to have a finished spec script ready for submission.

Don't give up if you get a few rejections, keep improving and eventually you'll succeed. To quote George McFly from Back to the future:
ReplyDelete"If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything"
Why don't you submit some of your stuff here?
Cheers
i'm waiting for the short story. <3
ReplyDeleteA script? Well that does sound like a fair amount of work, but a negative attitude won't bring about a positive outcome. Rejection isn't always a bad thing and acceptance doesn't necessarily mean something good, it depends on how you perceive it. Stay chill, bro.
